Here’s some explanation/advice/analysis (I’m not a practiced PUA, but I’m paying attention, and don’t suck at the ‘game’ – i.e. two girls trying to give me their numbers at a wedding reception last night).

‘We chatted, but I could tell something was up, she was colder than usual. I had enough of it after a while and froze her out, she didn’t mind, she sipped on her drink and enjoyed the water. She was getting me angry. I just burst, “What the hell is your problem?” ‘

I think you know this already, but this was a mistake, because it blatantly hands her control – lots of it – and more importantly, you have publicly lost all of yours – almost never a good move. I mean, one short sentence and a small kiss on the cheek and she had basically put you completely back in your place. Now, ideally, you learn from this and don’t put yourself in a similar situation again, but for the time being you needed this feedback from her (for example, if you had ignored her icy coldness and had just gone into S1 – or however that’s supposed to look – while she’s sitting there feeling like she’s getting played with, she would have probably ‘had it up to here’ and wanted to leave’, because such a move would have confirmed that she was in fact nothing more than ‘your fucking prize’) but my main critique in this situation is how you went about getting that information. Moving in closer (but not seduction close) and calmly asking with only a hint of humor basically “what’s wrong?” (i.e. You know, this water would be a lot warmer if you weren’t being as cold as ice right now. But I’m smart enough to know that it’s probably my fault. So, I’ll go ahead and apologize now, but I need to know what I’ve done wrong, so don’t leave me hanging over here with my tail between my legs…) will accomplish the same thing, if done with sincerity, but will be more effective because: 1. you are not exploding and putting yourself in a completely vulnerable (due to exposing not only your concern but your lack of emotional stability and maturity) situation. 2. it shows that you actually care about her, and want to understand her, etc. – it’s not a bad thing to be vulnerable, nice, caring, etc. and actually probably needs to happen during the building comfort stage. Blowing up, again, just shows that you care about yourself and are immature, and even fake because you’ve been ‘acting’ like she doesn’t exist all along – now you’re curious as to why she’s not jumping your bones. I know lots of the techniques in the game are supposed to be counterintuitive, but this girl is different, sharper, and won’t put up with that shit forever (is it push/pull?) and again, I doubt those techniques work to build comfort. 3. While accomplishing the task of figuring out why you’re pissing her off, (critical at this point) and showing that you care, you are not (if done with enough confidence/clarity/maturity/humor) lowering your value permanently. If anything you are raising it by showing that you occasionally have some of these desireable characteristics.
But overall, just don’t blow up ever – It’s not the sign of a guy who’s a master of social interaction.

‘I got it now, I was treating her like my personal accesory all night, that’s why she told my friend we were sleeping together, she knew what I was doing, so she played along? Why? I tried to block it all out, get my head straight, I didn’t respond. I just sat there, and so did she.’
Why did she play along? First let me say that this girl is herself really sharp, second, is aware of the game, and third knows that you are darn good yourself. With this in mind, let’s consider her options once she starts recognizing your behavior (which she might have predicted before you even picked her up that night – which wouldn’t surprise me, this girl sounds good): 1. be predictable – respond like every other girl getting push/pulled, ignored, negged etc. and just cling, feel lower in value, clamor for your attention, get emotionally upset. Ultimately let herself get put in such a low and vulnerable position (and you in such a high one) that, by the end of the night, you can pretty much tell her to take off her clothes (and/or your clothes, etc.) and she’ll do what you say – no way she’s doing this and you sort of knew it 2. fight back and play ‘the game’ predictably. she could compete with you, game your friends, use techniques to lower your value to other girls (this girl could have easily said something like ‘We actually just met recently, I had some other things going tonight but they fell through, He just wanted me to come with him so here I am etc.’ – to make you look needy and her not so. This would also have made her more available to your friends, who she typically would have started gaming, perhaps even right there in front of you and made you, while more available, less desirable to the other girls). She could blow you off, push/pull you, etc. – this is what you predicted and, while challenging, would have at least been predictable enough to be manageable. or she could 3. play into your game better than you were prepared to, and, in doing so, get into your head, confuse you, and finally make you blow up – not a bad choice, and the one she went with.

‘Then, I got alpha on her, no more I said. I pushed myself hard onto the other side of the spa, the water spraying out, straight on top of her, face to face, I stared at her, she didn’t flinch. I put my hands on either side of her, so she couldn’t get away, we stared for a few seconds…’
First of all, she’s drunk at this point, so her guard is down. Second, this is this first real ‘move’ you’ve put on her, the first time you clearly communicated ‘I want you’. Despite all your frustration, all it took for her (other than drinks) was one undeniable IOI from you. Third and finally she is 100% for it in her moment of ‘weakness’ – you drove, not her – and I doubt she would have let that happen if she was ‘on’. And she ultimately revealed that with those post-sex comments about you being an asshole and reminding you that she was going to walk off with your friend. The statement ‘you think you’re so dam good now’ blatantly communicates that 1. it is a ‘game’ (good at what? I doubt she was talking about the sex – no offense) and 2. you have won. She was having buyer’s remorse, but not in a typical way (moral, emotional, etc. – though I’m sure these were present to some degree). She was trying to re-establish value, declare that you may have won the battle, but you’ve yet to win the war, etc.
